Camphor is a plant that can be found anywhere in Fujian province, China. But among them, there is a very special old camphor tree with the age of over 1,000 years, still growing well. More surprisingly, in the tree den, there is also a small Buddha statue that surprised many people.

It is a camphor tree located in the village of Kaoting in northern Fujian province. Around the village surrounded by green mountains, clear water and calm landscape. Although Kaoting village is not as famous as many other ancient villages, it still has its own unique history and heritage.

According to legend, the statue was created to commemorate the famous Chinese philosopher - Chu Hi (1130-1200) after his death. The people placed the statue in the tree trunk through a crack. Over time, the crack healed and created the masterpiece we see today.

But the miracle is that, the trunk grows larger and the crack becomes smaller, creating a scene where the tree embraces the Buddha. However, this is just a legend and has no scientific basis to confirm.

Another interesting thing, under the great camphor tree grew a seedling. According to experts, the above tree is about 1,020 years old, and the smaller tree is about 268 years.

Thanks to this ancient tree, this thousand years old has led to the development of tourism in the village of Kaoting. Many people believe that, just coming here sincerely to pray will be blessed by the Buddha.
