Some tried to help  him but he ran away from them . The little animal was surprisingly fast for a sick dog.

One woman had a little more luck. She was able to get close enough to notice that the pet was wearing a collar . Her name was Earllook, let’s call him Earl.

The kind woman left Earl some food every time she came to visit him . When she was asked about the puppy, she explained that Earl had a family once.

One night, in complete darkness, the family was seen rushing out of their house . It was very strange. Unfortunately, Earl was left behind.

Like many other dogs, Earl’s instincts told him that his family would return. He would run back to the abandoned house every day and wait for them . They never came back.

It was evident that all his time on the streets had taken a toll on poor Earl.

It was time for the professionals to step in . This dog deserved a better life than this! Earl wasn’t easy to catch, but rescuers didn’t give up. They had to use a net but they caught it.

Earl was finally in good hands! The vet noticed his cough right away. Earl underwent some X-rays and blood tests. The results were not good .

Poor Earl was estimated to be at least 10 years old. He was sick due to heartworms .

Life on the streets without a proper di‌et or medical attention cost him dearly. His prognosis was not good.

The diagnoses for this puppy were not encouraging

The vet felt that the treatment would not be successful, so it was best to keep him happy and comfortable. The woman who fed him for years decided to take him in .

She decides to provide him with the care he needs, ensuring that Earl, no matter how long he’s been away, will have the happy feeling of being protected and loved after years of neglect.

However, it is never too late to have enough love and will.
